Work Packages

CANMILK project is organized in 7 Work Packages which have been carefully designed to allow the realization of the project objectives in an effective and timely manner and promote cooperation between partners.

WP2
Plasma Modelling and Diagnostics:

 WP2 develops chemical kinetics and computational fluid dynamics models for the design of O2 and H2 plasma-based reactors. O2 and H2 plasmas are studied in a wide range of conditions producing reactive oxygen or hydrogen species that interact with CH4 leading to its decomposition.

WP3
Adsorbent and Catalyst:

 WP3 identifies and tests suitable adsorbent and catalyst materials and generates data on their tandem operation with the catalyst.

WP4
Process Concept:

WP4 designs, constructs and validates a proof-of-concept test unit.  It’s also responsible for measuring the barn air composition.

Techno-economic Assessment:

WP5 performs a high-level design of a direct-air-scrubbing system, including a lifecycle economic evaluation in terms of capital and operating expenditure.

WP6
Dissemination and Exploitation:

WP6 ensures the visibility of the project by using suitable communication and dissemination instruments for different audiences. An efficient exploitation of the results is furthermore supported by handling IP issues, screening technology trends and engaging key stakeholders.

Activated gas-surface interactions:

 WP7 develops and experimentally validates a model for plasma/catalyst interface interactions and assesses biochar as an additional catalysts support.
