The CANMILK project was represented at the 21st Nordic Symposium on Catalysis, which took place on 8–10 June 2026 in Gothenburg, Sweden. Organized by the Competence Centre for Catalysis at Chalmers within the framework of the Nordic Catalysis Society, the symposium is a key meeting point for researchers and industry experts working across all areas of catalysis, including heterogeneous and homogeneous catalysis, biocatalysis, thermal catalysis, electrocatalysis, and photocatalysis.
As part of the conference, Abhinash Kumar Singh (VTT) presented a poster entitled “Plasma-Catalytic Methane Abatement from Simulated Barn Air: Influence of Reactor Design and Catalyst Placement.”
The poster presented recent research results from the CANMILK project related to the PoC unit. The work focused on plasma-catalytic methane removal from simulated barn air and examined the influence of reactor design and catalyst placement on methane abatement performance. This research is contributing to the development of an innovative solution for reducing greenhouse gas emissions from livestock farming.
The symposium provided a good opportunity to disseminate CANMILK research results, exchange knowledge with experts in the field, and strengthen collaborations within the catalysis community.
