On 5 April 2025, Instituto Superior Técnico welcomed more than 2,700 visitors to its campus as part of the annual Open Day. The event provided prospective students, families, and the general public with an opportunity to learn more about the institution’s academic programmes and research activities. Visitors had the opportunity to take part in guided lab tours, experimental activities, course presentations, live demonstrations, and interactive talks with students and scientists.
The CANMILK project was presented by teams from the Instituto de Plasmas e Fusão Nuclear (IPFN) and the Centro de Química Estrutural (CQE). Using small-scale models and informational materials, the researchers provided insight into the project’s objectives and scientific approach. The participation of the CANMILK project contributed to the broader goal of showcasing the variety of scientific work being carried out at Técnico, with a focus on accessibility and public outreach.
